On the track he can be a fast driver, he does good on qualifying, but today i have concluded that Nico is just not good enough when it comes to overtaking an equal car on a race day. Pressure doesn't mix well with him, as you can see at Spa when he broke his wing on Hamilton's car. On Monza, Hamilton wasnt even on his rear end and he locked up twice on the same place because he felt the pressure of Lewis coming fast.
Today these thoughts have been confirmed when he dramatically locked the brakes on the first corner and ruined his tires when he tried an abrupt move to overtake Lewis.
He clearly doesn't have the edge on these situations.
he still recovered second place, but the car definitely played a very big part and he had a big performance boost against the others.

On one of the replays you can see him messing with his hands/gloves and not have full contact of the steering wheel right before the braking zone. I think he was also not focusing. Shame, but he did make his way back in the field.
Kinda laughed when the team told him to use 1 set for the entire race LOL.

Well at least his mistake just cost him, and not the team, because at the end it was 1-2. But it cost him on maybe attacking Lewis further in the race.

I dont know what he was doing on the cockpit (i saw what you say) but the thing is he tried to rush the overtake as if he just had one shot on all the race. You have to know when to back out and try on the next corners.

He missed his brake point which makes this look worse than it would've been had he gotten the point right. Also Spa issue was a racing issue where Hamilton did move out a bit wide towards Rosbergs car.
I'm a Lotus fan and am frustrated with my team. Don't hate my comments.

he missed the brake point beacuse he tried to outbrake lewis to win the corner. But he totally misjudged it. I was a Lotus fan last year because of Kimi, i have a t shirt of lotus team with the iceman written on the back.
This year i feel sorry for them. I just couldn't support for them after hiring Pastor Maldonado.
